Common Technical Language Document

The common technical language document otherwise referred to as the “magic” document is a pdf providing simple cue words (“sticky language”) and analogies that anyone can use to help teach the technical fundamentals of all the tennis strokes.

Warning: sizeof(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in /home/emmadoyle/public_html/wp-content/themes/betheme/woocommerce/single-product/meta.php on line 15

It includes words for the following strokes:

  • Forehand
  • Backhand
  • Serve
  • Volley
  • Drive Volley
  • Smash

There are also some bonus tactical suggestions for each ball colour.  If you run a large coaching business, having a common technical language document and cue words helps players with the consistency of understanding key aspects of stroke mechanics and what they might need to focus on at the different stages of development.  There are many other words that you could say but this gives you a guideline to get started.

Happy Hitting.
